The Ideas for the Title of the Project

  1. Big C - the name of the charity. Very straightforward. Self explanatory. Already gives the right idea of what the project is about and what it is supporting. However it does not give more meaning. It is not a slogan or a message that can be spread.
  2. Everything is Possible - very positive message. People will like it, however it may not be associated with fighting with the cancer. It refers to the fight with cancer and that there is always hope and chance for the person to win.
  3. Be Brave - positive message, however it may not be associated with cancer. The sentence is build of two words starting with graphine "B" which creates alliteration. It sounds nice and people may like it. It flows when seen or read out loud. It is also an imperative verb, which gives people commands. It can both encourage them to think about and dislike the command.It refers to both people affected by cancer and those who were not affected by it. For the first one, it gives the positive message of never giving up and keep fighting. For those who were not affected by cancer it means to believe in the chance that others have and be brave to help them in this fight.
  4. Be a Hero - positive message that can be associated with cancer or other problems that the individual can solve. People like heroes. They are associated with good, with someone who can safe others, face miracles. It is also an imperative verb, which gives people commands. It can both encourage them to think about and dislike the command. People feel good when they help others, because they know that they did something good. When they see the result of their help, they feel even better. Helping people affected by cancer and supporting the research will make them a hero that tried to  safe lives.
  5. Let's do it - positive meaning, open meaning, where it can have associations with many different things. It is what is usually said in a time of struggle or when facing obstacles. When it is hard to do something, when people are kept in place by anxiety, when someone says those words it is easier to move on. People need a message like that to believe that they can do something. The use of imperative verb, again gives a command, which makes this sentence even more powerful. It does not only gives the meaning of fighting with cancer, but actually doing something about it, helping. And that helps comes from supporting the charity.
  6. Never Give Up - very positive message. Directed at both people affected by cancer telling them to never give up and keep fighting, and at people who were not affected by cancer to keep trying and helping those who were. Again, use of imperative verb, creates command, which encourages people to listen to it and do it. The use of two negative words, turns the meaning of the sentence into a positive one, which has a deeper meaning into the cancer and the fight with it = cancer and getting rid of it. Double negatives are not a proper grammar, however they are used in poetry or songs or informal speech, which appeals to the target audience.
  7. You are a Fighter - positive message, using pronoun "you" creates synthetic perosnalisation and everyone who sees it will be affected by it on a personal level. Using the verb "are" makes people believe in what has been said. The use of present time within this verb makes it sound like a fact. Fighter is associated with someone who fights and does not give up and it makes sense to be a fighter when fighting with cancer.
  8. You are the Winner - positive message, using pronoun "you" creates synthetic perosnalisation and everyone who sees it will be affected by it on a personal level. Using the verb "are" makes people believe in what has been said. The use of present time within this verb makes it sound like a fact.Winner is associated with achieving goals, doing something right. It also means winning with the cancer. It is a positive message for people affected by cancer who can win with it and people who can help with fighting with it. If they help, they already won a little battle against cancer.
  9. You CAN do it - using pronound "you" creates sythetic perosnalisation and everyone who sees it will be affected by it on a personal level. Using modal auxiliary verb "can" gives the possibility and shows people that they are able to do something. It shows that other people believe in them which makes them braver to do something. Wring it in capital letters only emphasizes it. Again, it refers to both people affected by cancer who CAN fight with it and win and to those we were not, but who CAN help.
  10. You make a Difference - using pronoun "you" creates synthetic perosnalisation and everyone who sees it will be affected by it on a personal level. This slogan shows people that what they do have a great affect on others. Buying something little in the charity will allow them to give this money to people who need it to win with cancer. Using "you" at the beginning of the sentence gives the power to the pronoun and makes it the focus of the sentence. It appeals to people.
  11. Help=Hope - very short slogan, easy to remember. The slogan is build of two words starting with graphine "H" which creates alliteration. It sounds nice and people may like it. It flows when seen or read out loud. It shows people that their help gives hope for those who fight with the cancer.
  12. You=Hope - similarly to "help=hope", however this time using synthetic perosnalisation. Gives more power to the individual. Encourages then to help, because they are the ones that can do something about the matter.
  13. You=Difference - similarly to "you=hope". Encourages then to help, because they are the ones that can do something about the matter.
  14. Make a Difference - The use of imperative verb, gives a command that can be followed. It shows that the person can do something to help. It encourages to do something.
  15. Hope kills Cancer - "hope" is a positive word associated with cancer and the fight with it. "Kills cancer" shows that the hope is powerful enough to do something about the matter. People who help give more of that hope of those affected by cancer and those who keep working on the solution for it.
