The Evaluation

At first i was really worried that I will not find a client. I had no idea what I wanted to do and how to find someone who would like me to work for them. My social anxiety was really hard to deal with when it came to me actually approaching a client. The first client that I had approached had not replied to me at all. It worried me a lot since I had a hard time thinking of what I could even do in the first place. Eventually I came up with another client who was really happy to work with me. Throughout the project I learned about the history of fashion photography, different styles of it and the way in which fashion photography has changed. I could apply that to my own photographs by experimenting with those styles. I learned a lot about my client, who they are and want they do. I also got to know a little bit more about the cancer and the ways in which my client helps people to deal with it. This project was the one that was not given as much time as the Script to Screen ...

Approaching the City College Norwich - exhibition

Image
I have approached the reception at City College Norwich, asking if I can exhibit my photos at the foyer in the main building. I have written a document stating what I want to do: I have also printed out some of my photos to show them, what the exhibition will contain. I was told that I have to go back with my tutor. When I went there I was told that it may not work and I should ask someone else from another department if that would be possible. From what I was told I would not be able to use a drop box for the donations. Therefore I had to come up with another idea for the exhibition.

Visiting one of the Big C's charity shop (26th of January 2018)

On Friday the 26th of January 2018 I went to visit one of the Big C's charity Shop to give the schedule, mood-board and proposal to Danielle Day's colleague. I visited the place with two of my friends Yasmin Shoukry and Jay Clayton, who are my models for the project. I decided to take them with me, to have second opinion on the clothing which ended up being very helpful. The lady I was talking with, Cora, was the manager of the store, that has been previously informed about my visit. I introduced her to the whole project and handed all of the paperwork. She was very nice and suggested me another places I could visit and collect clothes from, however Danielle Day said before that she is going to bring clothes into one location for me, so I am not sure about what Cora told me. I am going to email Danielle about the progress and ask some more questions. We were allowed to look around the store and pick some clothes. In the end we picked many pieces, from witch we decided on ...

The first meeting with the client (19th January 2018)

Image
The meeting started a bit unfortunately. I showed up at the Forum about 12:30pm, but my client was already there since 12pm and so I did not see them coming in. Therefore I waited there for some time. before deciding to ask the client if he is going to show up. Finally we found each other and we could start with the meeting. Of course I apologized for the mistake, however my client was absolutely alright with it and did not seem to care about it at all. We had a very nice conversation. Both Ashley and his co-worker were very excited about the whole project. The relationship was rather informal, which you can see through the emails that Ashely send. It made the atmosphere feel much more comfortable. They asked me about the course. What it is like, what we did and what I am planning to do after the course. After seeing my photographs I was offered a work after my course ends as a photographer, which I guess means that I did very well and they liked what they saw. I bel...
