Approaching the City College Norwich - exhibition

I have approached the reception at City College Norwich, asking if I can exhibit my photos at the foyer in the main building.

I have written a document stating what I want to do:

I have also printed out some of my photos to show them, what the exhibition will contain.
I was told that I have to go back with my tutor.

When I went there I was told that it may not work and I should ask someone else from another department if that would be possible. From what I was told I would not be able to use a drop box for the donations. Therefore I had to come up with another idea for the exhibition.
